Apps against scams and phishing: ScamSentry, Paso seguro and TrustLens

Three of our own apps that help people decide before replying to, paying or opening a suspicious link.

The challenge

Fake parcel delivery texts, fraudulent bank alerts and tampered QR codes are more and more convincing. Many people cannot tell whether a message is genuine and need a quick, careful way to check.

The solution

ScamSentry

ScamSentry analyses suspicious messages and links from messaging apps, SMS, email or social media to show whether they look like a scam.

  • Two ways to use it: paste the text into the app or share it directly from another app.
  • Dual analysis that, according to its store listing, combines on-device technical heuristics with artificial intelligence.
  • Detection of fake notifications from couriers, public bodies or banks, and of misleading URLs and domains.
  • Prior sanitisation: it hides sensitive data (IBANs, cards, personal emails) before the analysis.

Paso seguro icon

Paso seguro

Paso seguro helps people understand suspicious messages, invoices and official-looking notices before replying, paying or opening links.

  • It explains the risk, the urgency and the warning signs it found in plain language.
  • It says what is best not to do yet and prioritises checking through official channels.
  • It works with pasted text and with text extracted from images and PDFs, and keeps a local history.

TrustLens icon

TrustLens

TrustLens scans QR codes and analyses links to detect signs of phishing and scams before a page is opened.

  • It shows the real destination: it expands short links and follows redirect chains safely.
  • It scores the risk from 0 to 100 (Safe, Caution or Danger) and explains why.
  • It keeps the checks private, on the device itself.
